More on Tara Reade, Bloomberg’s mess, and AOC on ACNH.
Good morning friends! It’s Friday so let’s try to keep this a little lighthearted, ok? Just a little!
A 1996 court document now confirms Tara Reade told her ex-husband of harassment in Biden’s office: and that whatever happened was so “traumatic” that she was still “sensitive and effected (sic) by it today.”
Mike Bloomberg dumped a ton of money into his failed campaign: and for what, we ask? Vanity? Now he’s decided to dump hundreds of former campaign staffers from payrolls, despite promising to keep paying them through the election. Now, Democrats are trying to clean up his mess.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is on Animal Crossing: and look, know this isn’t really “newsworthy” or “important” or “something you give a shit about,” but it’s cute, alright? It’s Friday. Just be patient with us.
Sorry this is late but to your inbox but we’ve some big things in the works for this project so hopefully that’ll roll out soon! Alright, let’s crack open these news eggs.
READE REPORT
1996 Document Shows Reade Told Her Husband About Harassment, Trauma

A court document obtained by the Tribune in San Luis Obispoindicates she was harassed while working for Joe Biden in ‘93. It also details trauma that she still feels “to this day,” so in ‘95, when the document was filed.
What Does the Document Contain?
The document contains a statement from Theodore Dronen, Reade’s ex-husband, and was written when Dronen was contesting a restraining order filed by Reade days after he filed for divorce.
The document doesn’t explicitly mention who committed the harassment, nor does it mention assault, but it does mention that there was harassment in Biden’s office.
It states that Reade “eventually struck a deal with the chief of staff of the Senator’s office and left her position.”
He also describes whatever took place as having a “traumatic effect” on Reade, significantly enough that it believed it shaded Reade’s “perception and judgment.”
Why’s it Significant?
This comes at the same time as Reade’s first television interview on the matter. She sat down with Megyn Kelly to talk about the incident.
Bottom line: this corroborates Reade’s story and it’s a significant piece of evidence.
ELECTION 2020
Bloomberg’s Ungraceful Exit of Primary Left a Huge Mess

Remember Mike Bloomberg? Former Mayor of New York, former Republican, and current billionaire piece of garbage? He dumped tons of money into hiring campaign staffers around the country during his bid. When he dropped out, he promised to keep paying him—a promise he broke. Now, the Democratic party is left cleaning up his mess.
Moves Like Bloomberg
Bloomberg also donated $18 million to the DNC. As a result, hiring his former staffers is a big priority for many state officials, despite feeling like there are more qualified folks out there.
Bloomberg’s team is pretty feisty about anyone getting upset about this, one Bloomberg spokesperson told POLITICO that “if people don’t want the money, they can return it and it will be put to use in alternative efforts to defeat President Trump.”
His staffers were, according to some, overpaid and underqualified. That makes the job of getting them new positions pretty difficult.
Bottom line: hey asshole, how about you follow through on your promise and help fund the DNC? Rich people, am I right?
AOC
AOC is on Animal Crossing and Oh My God, Wholesome!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is on Animal Crossing. Is this important? Hell no. Is it cute and something we want to talk about on this otherwise-gloomy Friday? Hell yes!
Ahhhh! Animal Crossing!!!
AOC opened her Twitter DMs to get “Dodo codes,” which allow you to invite a stranger to your island.
She visited a bunch of people but her first visit was a family of three who used to live in AOC’s district. They took a group photo together. Cute!
She’s also sporting a hand-drawn campaign shirt. Man, I don’t care what anyone says, that rules.
Bottom line: call us suckers, but it’s refreshing seeing politicians engaging in regular human stuff instead of whatever reptilian nonsense someone like Mitch McConnell gets up to. This is cute and fun, please do not hate!
